K2 Alpacas

We first heard about K2 Alpacas a couple of years ago when I was scrolling through Facebook. The owner, Joe, was holding a sort of ‘open day’ from his farm in Kilmacanogue where you could meet his four alpacas and learn more about them. The kids and I set off to find out more about alpacas and stood at the side of the road while Joe chatted to us and we could pet the alpacas.

Since then K2 Alpacas has grown and grown. Joe now has a whole herd of alpacas and they can be hired for weddings and other events and he also organises treks with the alpacas – we did a mini one the other year at Christmas – great fun! If you’re looking for an unusual day out a trek with an alpaca should certainly be on the list!
