National Gallery of Ireland
17 August 2020
The National Gallery of Ireland is located in Dublin City Centre and is free of charge. While you are free to wander at your leisure many kids may not be interested in looking at the paintings – mine included! However, during the summer on Wednesday mornings they run free art workshops for kids and we tried one out. The theme for the day we were there was the seaside. There was a lovely lady to oversee and help with inspiration and supplies. There was a box full of shells, stones and other objects found by the sea as well as plenty of paper and crayons / pastels / chalks. The kids got stuck in straight away creating their pictures, using the shells and other items to help them. A fun way to pass an hour when in Dublin for the day!
