OWLS – The Nature Charity for Kids

OWLS is a fantastic organisation based in Dublin. They run events throughout the year for kids in various locations across Dublin and also do camps during school holidays. Their passion is to get children outdoors, enjoying nature and learning more out it.

We have done a couple of their workshops – one was pond dipping in Cabinteely Park (the amount of tiny creatures in our ponds is fascinating!!) and the other was making a bird feeder in Dodder Valley Park. The OWLS leaders are patient and kind and knowledgeable and they bring all the materials you will need. You just pay a few euro! The bird feeders were simply made out of toilet roll, peanut butter and seeds so very eco friendly and can be hung easily on a tree or similar.
