Passage Ferry
17 August 2020
Did you know there is a little car ferry that crosses the River Suir? It’s a novel way of traveling from Wexford to Waterford or vice versa! It links the village of Ballyhack in Wexford to the village of Passage East in Waterford. We discovered it on the way home from a camping trip one year. For a small fee you can drive your car onto the boat and sail across the river in 15 minutes. It was definitely a fun way to travel home and it operates all year long. There are approximately 120 sailings a day so you won’t be waiting long either! If you want to plan ahead you can also book online here.
