The Festival of Curiosity
This is a fabulous summer festival with events on all around Dublin each July. Some events are free but require booking and others have a fee. There are events to suit all ages and it is worth keeping an eye on their website as summer approaches so you don’t miss out on booking tickets.
We have taken part in a number of activities and shows each year.
One event is The Curiosity Carnival. This is on in the Smock Alley Theatre. The kids get to explore a roomful of STEM toys and activities. The kids have great fun and the parents can get ideas for birthday and Christmas presents – although be warned, some of the products are vey expensive! There are robots that follow lines you draw, a spirograph, electronic kits, light up lego and more. The only downside is that you only get one hour in the venue so you have to move fast to see everything!
As part of this festival we have also enjoyed an amazing Cardboard Puppet Show, Scientific Sue and her shows, a science show all about the science of food and a fabulous Bubble Show. This is a festival well worth checking out!
