Bottle Tops Letter Activity

This is a great activity for preschoolers or children in the early years of primary school education who are learning to recognise their letters. It took a while to collect enough bottle tops (get your friends and family to help you!) but once I had enough all I had to do was get a permanent marker and write a letter on each bottle top.

You can then write the letters of the alphabet on a piece of paper or on separate pieces of paper and get your child to place the bottle top letters on top of the letters on the paper. Alternatively, if you have enough bottle tops to have two with each letter you could make a matching activity using just the bottle tops. If your child is learning to recognise both upper and lower case letters you could have half the bottle tops with capital letters and half with lowercase letters and get your child to match them this way as well.
