Enniscorthy Castle

Enniscorthy Castle is located in the town of Enniscorthy in Co Wexford. It is a fine example of a Norman castle and is so well kept. It is open to the public and you can have a guided tour or just explore the castle yourself. There is a small entrance fee and there is also a small shop should you want a souvenir.

The castle is great for kids as there are lots of rooms to explore. In one room you can even dress up! At the end of the tour the lady working in the castle brought us up onto the roof which was really great!

I would highly recommend a visit to Enniscorthy Castle if you have kids interested in castles or history.
