France
We went on a family holiday to the north of France a few years ago. We were fortunate to have a family member give us the use of their holiday home there as a base. We spent two weeks in the Brittany region and had a fabulous time. There is plenty to do there – we only saw a fraction!
We got the ferry from Rosslare to Roscoff and brought our own car. We drove from the port to the little town we were staying. The house and town are very traditional and hardly anyone spoke English which was lovely – we got to practice our basic French and to sample life in a non-touristy area of France. However, we did visit some popular tourist spots during our time there!
Highlights of our trip include:
Saint Malo Aquarium and beach
Mont Saint Michel
Rennes and the children’s museum
Zoo Bourbansais
Domaine Les Ormes campsite (including horse riding, water slides and ziplining!)
