Glendalough Education Centre
8 March 2021
Glendalough is a fabulous place for a walk but there is also an education centre there and they have regular events for kids and families, often free of charge. We were fortunate enough to make it along to one such event – a workshop on pollinators. We got to examine and identify different types of moths and butterflies and then release them back to the wild. We went to the bee garden and got to learn about the different types of bees. We then got to go and hunt for other pollinators and ‘mini beasts’ and we saw some lovely dragonflies and damselflies. It was a really informative afternoon and a lot of fun too!
