Ice Play

Playing with ice is a very simple and free activity that can be a lot of fun, especially in the warmer weather!

In the first photo I used food colouring and water and some silicone moulds to create the coloured shapes for L to play with.

In the second photo A is playing with some ice in the garden on a warm sunny day. This play is great for fine motor skills as the ice can be slippy and tricky to pick up!

In the third photo you can see that we froze some little toys in a block of ice and then the kids had to try and ‘free’ the toys using various implements to break up the ice. Great fun!
