Shankill Park Playground

Shankill Park is a beautiful park in the village of Shankill in South Dublin. It is also home to a wonderful playground which includes a fabulous sandpit. The sandpit is large and there are two sit on diggers plus a tap for water, a water wheel and a dam. My kids love to spend hours here, digging and building and working with the other children to create rivers, ponds, castles, moats and whatever else takes their fancy! There’s often an ice-cream van parked by the playground and there are toilets in the playground too plus other toilets at the entrance to the park itself and in the cafe. Take a picnic or grab lunch at the cafe and enjoy an afternoon of play!
